ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad, Ali Waseem, led a crucial meeting on security concerns with representatives from the trader community, civil society, and local notables. The meeting, attended by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and SP Saddar Zone Kazim Naqvi among other police officers, focused on reviewing the law and order situation, ensuring citizen and business protection, and enhancing police-public coordination.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the discussions centered around providing a safe environment for business and addressing the concerns and suggestions raised by community representatives. DIG Islamabad and SSP Operations emphasized the importance of effective security measures and directed officers to maintain regular contact with traders and civil society to resolve issues promptly.

DIG Islamabad highlighted that citizen and business safety is a priority for the police, and strengthening cooperation with the public is crucial for improving law and order. He further visited Shalimar and Ramna Police Stations to inspect facilities and ensure efficient complaint resolution.

In his directives, the DIG stressed the need for timely case resolutions, arrest of wanted offenders, and maintaining proper police station records. He underscored the importance of courtesy in dealing with citizens and warned against any misuse of authority, promising accountability for delays in service provision.
