Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Police have undertaken enhanced policing initiatives aimed at improving public facilitation and intensifying action against criminal activities. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Ali Wasim and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza have both emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and effective crime prevention measures.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, DIG Ali Wasim visited Shahzad Town Police Station, where he inspected various sections and facilities and interacted with complainants to address their concerns. He urged officers to finalize investigations promptly and take decisive action against offenders. Additionally, he emphasized the need for transparency and merit in handling cases, alongside maintaining a respectful approach towards citizens.

In a separate initiative, DIG Wasim conducted an Open Court session at his office, allowing citizens to present their grievances directly. He assured them of timely legal action and encouraged direct communication with police officers or through the IGP Complaint Cell for issue resolution. His directives reiterated the focus on safeguarding citizens’ lives and property, with particular attention to crimes involving women and children.

Meanwhile, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza chaired a meeting with officers from the Industrial Area and Sohan Zones. The meeting, attended by SP Industrial Area Dr. Ayaz Hussain and SP Sohan Zone Hasnain Waris, among others, assessed current crime trends and law enforcement strategies. SSP Raza instructed officers to execute targeted operations against criminal elements and ensure effective patrolling to uphold law and order. He reaffirmed that any negligence in crime prevention efforts or citizen protection would be addressed promptly.
