DG Safe City Reviews Expansion of Islamabad Safe City Project

Islamabad: DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya conducted a meeting to evaluate the progress and enhancements of the Safe City expansion project in Islamabad. The meeting focused on accelerating construction and incorporating advanced technology into the project.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting was attended by officers from the relevant civil staff involved in the expansion project. Discussions centered on the deployment of new camera sites, their quantity, and locations, while also addressing the integration of cutting-edge technology to aid in crime prevention and the identification of criminal elements.

DG Safe City emphasized the importance of real-time communication between Safe City cameras and traffic officers to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure 24/7 security at key locations. He reiterated the Islamabad Police’s commitment to safeguarding citizens’ lives and property, urging the public to contact “Pukar-15” or use the One Info app in emergencies.

Additionally, a meeting led by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar reviewed construction work at police stations. Attendees included AIG General Inayat Ali Shah and other relevant officers, who discussed construction under the SIPS protocol and the importance of adhering to standards to provide improved facilities for citizens. DIG Headquarters stressed the need for timely and transparent completion of construction to enhance public access to modern police services.
