ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met with the United Nations Selection Assistance and Assessment Team (SAAT) to discuss the deployment of Pakistan Police officers for UN missions. The meeting took place at Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad and focused on selection criteria and training for international peacekeeping roles.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, discussions centered on enhancing the professional training and capabilities of Pakistan Police officers to meet international standards. The exchange aimed at ensuring that officers are well-prepared for effective participation in global peacekeeping missions. During the meeting, both parties exchanged shields as a symbol of mutual respect and cooperation.
The SAAT process for deploying Pakistan Police officers to UN missions was successfully completed at the headquarters. SSP Safe City Awais Ali Khan was appointed as the focal person for the SAAT team, and Islamabad Police ensured that the arrangements facilitated a smooth and efficient process.
