ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has instructed all government ministries to rigorously implement the austerity measures set forth by the administration, as tensions rise in the Middle East. In a meeting held in Islamabad, Dar emphasized the necessity of fiscal discipline as the region experiences economic challenges.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting reviewed the implementation of the austerity framework, which was approved by the Prime Minister last month after consultations with provincial authorities. Dar highlighted the critical need for ministries and divisions to exercise responsibility and prudence in managing public funds and making administrative decisions.
The Cabinet Secretary provided a briefing on the progress of various measures under the austerity plan. The committee also addressed concerns raised by multiple ministries and divisions regarding these financial constraints.
