Deputy Prime Minister Urges Strengthened Engagement with Bangladesh


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has underscored the importance of sustained engagement between Pakistan and Bangladesh, expressing optimism for future cooperation with the new BNP-led government of Prime Minister Tariq Rahman. This statement came during a meeting with a delegation of senior civil servants from Bangladesh at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.



According to Radio Pakistan, Dar emphasized the positive momentum in bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved. He highlighted the significance of leadership-level engagement, institutional cooperation, and people-to-people linkages as pivotal elements for enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening institutional connections.



The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed hope that the visit of the Bangladeshi civil servants would further contribute to deepening these ties, reflecting a desire for ongoing cordial and constructive interactions between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
