Deputy Prime Minister to Lead Pakistan’s Delegation at ASEAN Forum in Manila


Manila: The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, is set to lead Pakistan’s delegation at the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting in Manila, Philippines, slated for July 23, 2026. The forum will see participation from foreign ministers and delegates representing the 27 ARF member states, alongside the Secretary-General of ASEAN, focusing on political and security issues in the Asia-Pacific region.



According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Prime Minister will engage in discussions aimed at promoting peace, stability, and mutual cooperation through dialogue and diplomacy. The ARF, established in 1994, remains a crucial platform for multilateral consultations on regional security issues. Pakistan, which joined the forum in 2004, has been an active participant, regularly contributing to its regional programs and objectives.



On the sidelines of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister will also conduct bilateral meetings with his Philippine counterpart and other attending dignitaries, furthering diplomatic engagement and cooperation within the region.
