ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has pledged to fortify Pakistan’s bilateral relations with Bangladesh, emphasizing the expansion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest. In a recent meeting with Zahid Hossain, Bangladesh’s Minister for Women, Children, and Social Welfare, held in Islamabad, Dar expressed Pakistan’s readiness to work closely with Bangladesh.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting highlighted both countries’ commitment to strengthening ties, with particular focus on trade, education, social welfare, and fostering people-to-people contacts. The dialogue also recognized Bangladesh’s role in the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, with Dar reiterating Pakistan’s dedication to promoting women’s empowerment within the OIC framework and beyond.
