Pakistan’s IT Sector Reaches Record 4.5 Billion Dollars in Exports

Islamabad: Pakistan’s information technology sector has reached a significant milestone, achieving record exports of 4.5 billion dollars in the last financial year. This marks an approximate increase of twenty-nine percent in comparison to the previous year.

According to Radio Pakistan, the surge in IT exports was primarily driven by growth in several key areas, including software development, business process outsourcing, Software as a Service, and the gaming industry. Pakistani IT companies have successfully expanded their market reach to the Asia-Pacific region, with notable access to markets in Japan and Singapore.

Industry analysts suggest that the continued expansion into these international markets has been pivotal in boosting export revenues and fostering growth within Pakistan’s IT sector. This development is seen as a positive indication of the country’s potential in the global technology landscape.
