Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Highlights EXIM Bank’s Role in Pakistan’s Development

Islamabad, During a meeting in Beijing today, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with Chairman Wu Fulin of EXIM Bank of China to discuss ongoing and future financial cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other sectors.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions centered on EXIM Bank’s longstanding support for significant development projects in Pakistan. Deputy Prime Minister Dar expressed appreciation for the bank’s contributions and invited it to explore new financing projects in areas such as renewable energy, agriculture, and industrial development. He highlighted Pakistan’s efforts towards economic stability and its implementation of business-friendly policies, which have rejuvenated investor confidence as evidenced by the performance of the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
