Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has departed for Amman, Jordan, to participate in a ministerial meeting concerning the evolving situation in occupied Jerusalem. The meeting, which is set to take place tomorrow, aims to formulate a unified position among Foreign Ministers from the Arab League and a group of Islamic countries, including Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the invitation for Dar’s visit was extended by his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Al Safadi. The attending Foreign Ministers are also scheduled to meet with King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan. Dar’s agenda includes reaffirming Pakistan’s support for the Palestinian people and their cause, as well as engaging in bilateral discussions with his counterparts on both regional and international issues. His involvement underscores Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to advocating for an independent State of Palestine with pre-1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital.
