Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee responsible for overseeing the privatization of Distribution Companies (DISCOs) in Islamabad, focusing on enhancing efficiency and service delivery while maintaining consumer protection.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, Ishaq Dar highlighted the importance of a robust regulatory framework and effective oversight, which are deemed necessary to protect consumer interests and ensure both transparency and accountability. The committee expressed its satisfaction with the progress and advised the Privatization Commission to adhere to the agreed timelines for completing the process.
