Deputy Mayor Karachi Reviews Progress on Shahrah-e-Bhutto and Malir Halt Underpass Projects


Karachi: Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad conducted a thorough visit to assess the progress of ongoing development work on the Shahrah-e-Bhutto project. During his visit, he evaluated various aspects such as traffic flow and public convenience. Relevant officials briefed him on the current status, construction quality, and future phases of the project. He emphasized the importance of completing the work within the designated timeline to ensure enhanced travel facilities for citizens.



According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the Deputy Mayor highlighted the urgency of modern infrastructure in the city and the practical steps being taken by municipal institutions to address public issues. During the visit, formal construction work on the Malir Halt Underpass commenced in his presence. He stated that the underpass is expected to alleviate traffic congestion in areas like Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, and Quaidabad, thereby easing the commute for residents.



The Deputy Mayor reiterated that the development of Karachi remains a top priority and that initiatives like Shahrah-e-Bhutto and the Malir Halt Underpass are crucial in improving the city’s traffic conditions. He assured that all available resources are being used to meet the commitments made to the public. He also mentioned that phased development projects are in progress to transform Karachi into a modern and organized city, promising a positive impact on its citizens soon.



The site visit included municipal representatives, engineers, officials from relevant departments, and other stakeholders.
