KARACHI: Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad met with a delegation representing minority communities from Sindh to address their concerns and discuss potential solutions. The meeting focused on the effective implementation of policies, educational opportunities, and access to information for these communities.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the delegation, which included Basharat Masih, Ashok Sharma, Sunil Shatrogan Advocate, and Powan from the National Commission for Human Rights, presented various proposals aimed at improving the welfare of minority communities. They emphasized the need for reserved quotas in educational institutions and raised concerns about the Right to Information (RTI).
Deputy Mayor Murad assured the delegation that their issues would be addressed at appropriate forums. He reiterated the local government’s commitment to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all citizens, emphasizing that these remain key priorities for Karachi’s leadership.
