Islamabad: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan engaged in discussions with a delegation of students from Quaid-i-Azam University at Parliament House, focusing on academic issues such as scholarships, research opportunities, and hostel facilities. The meeting highlighted the challenges faced by students and emphasized the need for enhanced governmental support in the education sector.
According to Senate of Pakistan, the students advocated for more student-friendly policies and effective measures to address their difficulties. Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan acknowledged the importance of education in national development and highlighted the Senate’s role in promoting education and supporting youth welfare. He reiterated that the issues concerning students, including scholarships and higher education budgets, have been consistently raised in the Upper House.
Khan emphasized the government’s commitment to resolving student issues through collaboration with the Higher Education Commission and other institutions to enhance scholarships and research activities. He also stated that there are ongoing efforts to improve coordination with universities to provide more educational opportunities. The Deputy Chairman reaffirmed that quality education and equal opportunities for youth remain top government priorities, encouraging students to focus on education and research to contribute positively to the nation’s progress.
