Quetta: Deputy Chairman Senate, Syedal Khan Nasar, highlighted the significant contributions of the Kashmiri community residing in Balochistan, emphasizing their role in the province’s development and prosperity. He pledged to address the challenges faced by the community, underscoring the importance of collective efforts for the province’s progress.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Nasar expressed these views during meetings with various delegations in Quetta, including representatives of the Kashmiri community. The discussions covered the political situation, federally funded development projects, and other public concerns. The delegations, including Advocate Tariq Butt and other notable figures, detailed the local population’s issues, receiving assurances from Nasar that measures would be taken to address their concerns.
Nasar reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and condemned the actions of India. He emphasized the longstanding presence and contributions of the Kashmiri community in Balochistan, advocating for a joint responsibility in the province’s development. He assured efforts to resolve issues faced by Kashmiris in Quetta and other regions of Balochistan.
Coordinators briefed the Deputy Chairman on their performance and public issues encountered. Nasar emphasized the importance of direct communication of these issues to ensure timely solutions. He noted the commitment of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Balochistan’s development, with substantial federal funds allocated for ongoing projects aimed at improving public services and quality of life.
Nasar concluded by assuring the delegations that all possible steps would be taken to resolve the highlighted issues.
