Delegation from Istanbul Bar Association Visits Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan


Islamabad: A high-level delegation from the Istanbul Bar Association No. 2, Republic of Türkiye, joined by representatives from the Pakistan Bar Council, visited the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan in Islamabad, meeting with the Hon’ble Chief Justice. The visit underscored the enduring relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye, reaffirming the commitment of both countries’ legal communities to constitutionalism and international legal cooperation.



According to Press Information Department, the Turkish delegation was led by Mr. Yasin AMLI, President of the Istanbul Bar Association No. 2, and included H.E. Dr. Irfan Neziro?lu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan, alongside other senior officials. The Pakistan Bar Council was represented by several distinguished members, including Mr. Pir Masood Chishti, Vice Chairman, and other key figures.



Upon their arrival, the delegation was received by the Court’s senior protocol officials and welcomed by Registrar Muhammad Hafeez Ullah Khan. The meeting with the Hon’ble Chief Justice focused on the constitutional mandate of the Court, emphasizing its role in safeguarding fundamental rights and strengthening constitutional governance.



The visit included a presentation of an institutional documentary about the Court, providing insight into its establishment and vision. The meeting facilitated an exchange of views on constitutional adjudication, judicial reforms, and potential avenues for collaboration between the legal communities of Pakistan and Türkiye.



Both sides expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening professional engagement. The visit concluded with a souvenir exchange ceremony, symbolizing the strong legal partnership between the two countries, and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.



The Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan continues to engage with legal institutions worldwide to promote judicial excellence and international legal cooperation.
