Defense Minister Announces Continued Intelligence-Based Operations to Combat Terrorism


Islamabad: Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, affirmed the ongoing commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces in executing intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across various regions to eradicate terrorism. These operations are part of the broader initiative to restore peace and security nationwide.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a discussion on a private television channel, Minister Asif highlighted the sacrifices made by the armed forces in the fight against terror and reported significant progress in these efforts. He also announced the government’s plan to convene an all-parties conference to discuss “Operation Azm-e-Istehkam,” aimed at intensifying efforts to eliminate terrorism. The operation seeks to unite government and opposition parties in a combined effort to ensure lasting peace and prosperity for Pakistan.
