Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has accused the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of facilitating terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In a statement released on the social media platform X, Asif claimed that the PTI’s actions have led to the martyrdom of several civilians and military personnel in the province.

According to Radio Pakistan, Asif stated that the PTI founder has supported the settlement of individuals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who have links to terrorism. He emphasized that the Pakistani nation, alongside its armed forces, is prepared to confront any internal or external threats. The minister’s comments have sparked a debate over the accountability of the provincial government and its role in addressing security challenges.
