Lahore: Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has called for national unity to combat terrorism and safeguard the country’s borders. Speaking at a public gathering, Malik emphasized support for the Pakistan Army and its sacrifices for the nation.
According to Radio Pakistan, Malik highlighted the collaborative efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, in implementing measures to fight terrorism. Malik also appealed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to address the resurgence of terrorism in the province.
In addition to national security, Malik addressed the issue of fuel subsidies, stating that the government continues to offer relief to citizens despite increasing global fuel prices.
