Dar Reviews Preparations for Upcoming SCO Summit in Islamabad


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting in Islamabad to discuss preparations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State Summit, which Pakistan will host next year. The meeting focused on ensuring that arrangements are made in a timely and comprehensive manner.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister reviewed the progress on various aspects of the summit’s preparation and underscored the need for sustained coordination among relevant ministries and departments. He emphasized the importance of showcasing Pakistan’s hospitality and commitment to cooperation within the SCO during the summit.



The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, the Secretary of Defence, the Acting Foreign Secretary, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
