Dar and Araghchi Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments Ahead of SCO Meeting

Bishkek: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State meeting, emphasizing the critical role of dialogue in fostering regional peace.

According to Radio Pakistan, the two foreign ministers engaged in discussions about bilateral relations and regional developments, reiterating the significance of persistent engagement between their nations. Dar highlighted that dialogue and diplomacy are vital tools for advancing peace and stability in the region. He emphasized the importance of both parties sincerely implementing the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, signed in June 2026, as the sole path forward in resolving conflicts.
