Islamabad: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan has directed an intensified crackdown on major traffic violations during the “Zero Violation Day” campaign, aiming to enhance traffic law enforcement and ensure public safety on Srinagar Highway.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the CTO visited Srinagar Highway and engaged with traffic police officials, delivering a briefing on the importance of stringent traffic law enforcement. Key directives included tackling lane violations, over speeding, dangerous driving, reckless lane changes, mobile phone usage while driving, and failure to wear seat belts.

CTO Khan emphasized the necessity of strict legal action against traffic violations, asserting that no leniency would be granted. She reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the foremost priority for the Islamabad Traffic Police, urging officers to fulfill their duties with professionalism, effective policing, and courtesy toward the public.

The CTO instructed officers to use all resources available to maintain smooth traffic flow, reduce road accidents, ensure quick incident responses, and promote a safe traveling environment. She also highlighted the importance of public awareness in fostering responsible driving and a disciplined traffic culture.
