Islamabad: In a concerted effort to bolster security and improve traffic management within the federal capital, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, alongside SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, conducted visits to multiple duty points across the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these visits were part of a new directive issued by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The initiative seeks to ensure enhanced security measures and efficient traffic control in Islamabad. During the inspections, Virk and Raza engaged with police officers on duty and assessed the effectiveness of current security checks.
The officers have been instructed to intensify security at checkpoints, ensuring vigilant monitoring of suspicious activities and individuals. They are also urged to report any unusual activities promptly. The CTO emphasized the importance of maintaining effective traffic arrangements on major highways to ensure a seamless flow of vehicles and prevent any disruptions to city life.
