Islamabad, January 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):NAB Karachi received various complaints against accused Ahmed Jamil Ansari, Muhammad Ajmal Ansari and Hasan Jamil Ansari on the allegations of cheating public at large. NAB Karachi initiated an inquiry which was upgraded into investigation and subsequently NAB Karachi filed a Reference having No.3/2012 (State Vs Ahmed Jamil Ansari and Others) in the Learned Accountability Court No. IV, Karachi.

The case was fixed for announcement of judgment and the Learned Accountability Court, No-IV, Karachi convicted the accused Muhammad Jamil Ansari and Muhammad Ajmal Ansari for 7 years rigorous imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs 1.77 billion. Fine shall be equally distributed on both accused persons named Ahmed Jamil Ansari and Muhammad Ajmal Ansari.

In another case, the learned Accountability Court, No. 1, Karachi convicted accused Habib Ahmed Khan for 4 years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.10 million.

NAB Karachi received a complaint against accused Habib Ahmed Khan, Ex-Office Superintendent, Finance Department, and Karachi Port Trust from the Ministry of Communication and Railways. Accused Habib Khan submitted the forged bills in the name of five of his fake companies and presented 781 managed bills of Rs. 8.85 million which were later withdrawn by him fraudulently.

NAB Karachi had filed a Reference having No.40/2005 (State Vs Habib Ahmed Khan and Others). The case was fixed for announcement of judgment and the learned Accountability Court No. 1, Karachi convicted accused Habib Ahmed Khan for 4 years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.10 million.
