Congress Calls on Kashmiris to Vote Against BJP in Upcoming Elections

Jammu: In a recent public appeal, the Congress party has encouraged the residents of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to use their votes in the upcoming elections to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which it accuses of infringing upon their rights.

According to Kashmir Media Service, at a rally in Billawar, Kathua, Congress general secretary Bharatsinh Solanki criticized the BJP’s governance over the past decade, citing a loss of statehood and increased turmoil under its rule. The elections scheduled for October 1 represent a crucial moment for voters to respond to what Solanki termed as the BJP’s “treachery.”

Solanki’s speech highlighted several grievances, including the alleged exploitation of natural resources and the prioritization of big business interests over local welfare. He accused the BJP of manipulating and misinforming the public to maintain power and urged the electorate to recognize and rebuff these tactics.

The Congress leader challenged the BJP to defend its record, predicting that it would fail to demonstrate significant achievements. He expressed confidence that the voters of Jammu and Kashmir are savvy enough to see through the deception and will act accordingly at the polls.
