Islamabad: The completion of the 75-kilometer long, 500 kV Double-Circuit Suki Kinari Transmission Line in Mansehra marks a significant advancement in Pakistan’s power infrastructure, promising to deliver 884 MW of affordable and eco-friendly electricity to the northern regions.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the new transmission line is set to improve power distribution for Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) and Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO). It is part of the National Transmission and Despatch Company’s (NTDC) strategy to bolster the national power transmission network, supporting industrial growth, job creation, and socio-economic development through a stable and uninterrupted power supply.
