Karachi: China is making substantial investments in Pakistan’s medical equipment industry, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). This development marks a significant boost in trade relations between the two countries.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, eighty Chinese companies have shown a strong interest in forming partnerships with Pakistan in the medical equipment field. The statement further disclosed that Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth approximately $250 million have been signed to advance trade in the medical and surgical sectors.

The Chinese companies have highlighted the potential of joint ventures as a strategy to further develop Pakistan’s medical equipment sector. This collaboration is expected to foster growth and innovation within the industry, benefiting both nations.
