Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Opens New Day Care Center at Children’s Hospital Lahore


Lahore, Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, inaugurated a new Kids’ Day Care Center at Children’s Hospital Lahore, emphasizing the Punjab Government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare facilities. During the event, she also directed the initiation of a new ICU unit at the hospital and stressed the importance of transparent utilization of funds for healthcare improvements.



According to Punjab Portal, the Chief Minister spoke on the need for superior healthcare services and infrastructure across Punjab. She announced plans to establish Children’s Hospitals at Divisional Headquarters, linked to the Children’s Hospital Lahore, and directed continuous provincial ministerial oversight at the hospital. An MoU was also signed during the visit, involving Islamic Aid UK and the University of Child Health Sciences, to establish a new college block aimed at bolstering education and research in child health.



During her visit, Chief Minister Sharif engaged directly with various facilities at the hospital, including the new day care center, where she interacted with children and staff, emphasizing the need for diligent care. She also visited the Children’s Endocrinology and newborn wards, meeting with parents and hospital staff to discuss their concerns and the medical facilities provided.



The visit concluded with acknowledgments for the support from Islamic Aid UK and discussions with healthcare professionals about enhancing service delivery and medical education.
