Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has conveyed his sorrow over the death of former Senator Taj Muhammad Afridi, who died in a traffic accident. He extended condolences to the family of the deceased.

According to Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Gilani reflected on Afridi’s contributions to the nation, highlighting his role in politics and public service. Gilani emphasized that Afridi’s work in promoting public welfare, strengthening democratic values, and legislative contributions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be remembered. He noted that the former senator’s commitment to public service, political insight, and efforts in upholding parliamentary traditions were commendable.

Gilani remarked on the loss of a respected political figure, stating that Afridi’s contributions will continue to be acknowledged. He prayed for peace for Afridi’s soul and strength for his family in coping with their loss.
