Chairman of Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Meets Wrestler Ahead of World Championship in Nepal


Islamabad: The Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, convened today with Pakistan’s promising wrestler, Athar Zahid, prior to his participation in the Wrestling World Championship in Nepal. The meeting centered on extending best wishes and discussing preparations for the event that is set to occur on October 4, 2024.



According to Press Information Department, the Chairman expressed his support for Zahid, commending his dedication and resolve to clinch the championship title. The wrestler is scheduled to compete against Singham Dubey from India in what is expected to be a closely watched match. Zahid assured that he would strive to deliver an outstanding performance and secure victory for Pakistan.



During the interaction, Zahid expressed his appreciation for the continuous support from the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and its chairman. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan reiterated the programme’s dedication to fostering young talent, emphasizing that the youth in Pakistan have the potential to gain global acclaim with adequate support.
