Chairman of Pakistan Senate Meets Muslim World League Secretary General to Discuss Key Issues


ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, engaged in discussions with the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, at the Parliament House in Islamabad. The meeting revolved around topics such as Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, Muslim unity, global peace, and inter-parliamentary cooperation.



According to Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Gilani emphasized the significance of Pakistan’s longstanding ties with Saudi Arabia, highlighting the mutual trust and cooperation between the two countries. He acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia and expressed the potential for expanding trade, investment, and economic development between the nations.



Dr. Al-Issa commended Pakistan’s efforts in promoting peace and resolving conflicts through diplomacy. He acknowledged Pakistan’s role in easing tensions between Iran and the United States and praised the atmosphere of religious harmony in the country. The Secretary General also called for collective strategies and stronger international cooperation to address global challenges.



The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to strengthening Pakistan-Saudi relations and enhancing cooperation with the Muslim World League. The session was attended by several Pakistani senators and advisors, reflecting the collaborative spirit between the two sides.
