Islamabad: The first meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Executive Committee of the Senate Secretariat Employees Welfare Fund took place at Parliament House, focusing on enhancing medical facilities for employees. Under the convenorship of Senator Amir Waliuddin Chishti, the committee examined current healthcare provisions and discussed potential expansions, including adding hospitals to the panel and considering health insurance options.
According to Senate of Pakistan, the Sub-Committee is tasked with ensuring quality healthcare for Senate Secretariat employees and their families. The Convener highlighted the need for practical and sustainable healthcare solutions. The committee committed to reviewing all available options thoroughly and preparing recommendations for the Executive Committee within a specified timeframe.
The meeting included participation from Sub-Committee members Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri and Senator Nasir Mehmood, alongside relevant officers from the Senate Secretariat.
