Washington: A ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the significant victory at Makra-e-Haq. The event drew a large gathering from the Pakistani community, who participated with fervor, expressing their dedication to their homeland.
According to Radio Pakistan, the ceremony featured patriotic slogans and national songs, evoking the spirit of “Operation Bunyan um Marsoos.” The participants affirmed their commitment to the protection and integrity of Pakistan, honoring the Armed Forces for their role in safeguarding the nation.
Messages from Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister were read, while video messages from the Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Defense Minister reiterated the nation’s resolve. Brigadier Irfan Ali, Defense Attaché, delivered a message from Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh addressed the gathering, highlighting the strategic significance of the Makra-e-Haq victory, while also acknowledging former President Trump’s role in facilitating a ceasefire. He emphasized the importance of unity for Pakistan’s security and development, and remarked on Pakistan’s diplomatic contributions towards peace in the US-Iran conflict.
