Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has given the green light to six development projects totaling Rs.16.904 billion, aimed at bolstering national development across various sectors. During a meeting in Islamabad, chaired by Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, the CDWP also put forward an additional six major projects, with a combined cost of Rs.418.761 billion, to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for further evaluation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting underscored the importance of energy security, which Ahsan Iqbal highlighted as a cornerstone of the government’s “URAAN Pakistan” initiative. This initiative is designed to drive economic growth, enhance industrial competitiveness, and promote sustainable development, particularly through advancements in the power sector.
