Islamabad, April 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Capital Development Authority is taking all possible steps to maintain and protect the beauty of forests. In this regard, effective planning has been done to prevent the occurrence of fires in the mountains during the summer so that the beauty of Islamabad can be maintained at all costs.
In this regard, the teams formed to put out the fire during the fire season take timely action on the complaints received. According to details, a fire broke out in Hills area of Sector D-12 of Islamabad last night. More than 60 concerned personnel took part in the operation which included officers and staff of district administration including DMA department, environment department.
In addition, the CDA administration has decided to use state-of-the-art technology to protect the forests by using drone cameras to detect forest fires and their causes in a timely manner. In addition, joint teams of CDA and district administration are patrolling the area to deal with the elements involved in deforestation in a constitutional manner.
In this regard, to protect the forests, the concerned staff including the vehicles of the water supply wing and the staff are present in the field round the clock to deal with any emergency situation in a timely manner. In this regard, duties have also been distributed among the concerned staff in which more than 680 staff at 36 check posts in Margalla Hills area are discharging their responsibilities at different times. The CDA administration has appealed to the citizens to avoid barbecue or any other activity in the forest during the fire season which could lead to forest fires.
