Caretaker Prime Minister Lauds Nation for Peaceful Elections Amidst Adversities


Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has extended his congratulations to the nation for the peaceful conduct of the general elections, despite facing substantial challenges including security threats. In a statement made to media persons in Islamabad on Monday, Kakar highlighted the significance of the smooth transition of democracy in the face of security concerns, terrorism, economic turmoil, internal disturbances, and a hostile regional environment.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister expressed his admiration for the law enforcement agencies whose efforts ensured the peaceful execution of the electoral process. Kakar’s remarks come in the aftermath of two terrorist incidents in Balochistan, which had raised fears regarding the safety of the elections. Despite these apprehensions, the successful and peaceful completion of the elections was deemed a notable achievement by Kakar.



The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of continuing to uphold the commitment to democracy despite the numerous obstacles faced by the nation.
