Karachi: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing regional cooperation with the Maldives. In a significant meeting with the newly elected President of Maldives, Mohamed Muizzu, Solangi underscored the importance Pakistan places on its relationship with the island nation.
According to Radio Pakistan, During the meeting, which took place in the Maldives on Saturday, Solangi emphasized Pakistan’s role as a member of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and its commitment to bolstering bilateral cooperation with the Maldives in various fields. This meeting marked a continuation of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the ties between the two countries.
On behalf of Prime Minister Anwaar Haq Kakar, the government, and the people of Pakistan, the Caretaker Minister extended congratulations to Mohamed Muizzu on his election as President and conveyed best wishes for his tenure.
The discussion between Solangi and President Muizzu covered a range of important topics, including bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and the appointment of the Ambassador of Maldives to Pakistan. These talks are indicative of the mutual interest in deepening the collaborative relationship between the two countries.
Furthermore, the Caretaker Minister for Information extended an invitation to President Mohamed Muizzu to visit Pakistan. President Muizzu expressed his willingness to undertake this visit, signifying a positive step towards fostering closer ties and understanding between Pakistan and the Maldives.
