Capital Police Focus on Improving Driving License Process


Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police have introduced measures to enhance the experience for individuals applying for driving licenses. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive facilities and ensure equal treatment for all applicants, as stated by a public relations officer.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Muhammad Sarfraz Virk led a special meeting with the licensing department at traffic headquarters in Faizabad. The meeting focused on assessing and improving the procedures for driving license applicants. The police force recognized the exceptional performance of its officials and issued directives to further elevate their services, reaffirming their commitment to public welfare.



The meeting, steered by Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, underlined the need for the Islamabad Capital Police to maintain its status as a model force across the country. The Chief Traffic Officer stressed the importance of courteous interactions with citizens and the provision of complete facilities for driving license acquisition.



A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to discussing the implementation of a merit-based system for driving tests, ensuring fairness and efficiency in the process. Additionally, the education team was instructed to enhance public awareness of traffic laws and road safety. This initiative is part of a broader effort to transform Islamabad into an accident-free city by prioritizing the safety and well-being of its residents.
