Senior Provincial Minister of Balochistan and Minister of Public Health Engineering Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran marked International Workers’ Day with a tribute to the martyred workers of the 1886 Chicago labor movement and a reaffirmation of the provincial government’s commitment to labor rights. According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, in a statement issued on Labor Day, Minister Khetran reflected on the historical significance of the day and outlined the provincial government’s efforts to uphold labor laws and improve workers’ conditions. He mentioned the implementation of comprehensive policies to ensure the safety, education, and economic well-being of workers in Balochistan, in line with international standards. Khetran stressed the provincial government’s dedication to enhancing workers’ rights through potential legislative changes, including the provision of higher education and basic health facilities, as well as improving wages. He called on all citizens to join in
protecting and promoting the rights of workers to foster a more equitable society.
