Quetta: A key meeting was convened by Agha Muhammad Yusuf, Additional IGP / Commandant Balochistan Constabulary, at the headquarters Badr Line, focusing on several critical administrative and operational aspects of the force. High-ranking officials including the Deputy Commandant, SSP Headquarters, and all Zonal Commanders of the Balochistan Constabulary were in attendance.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting addressed significant issues such as the education of BC employees’ children, the welfare of martyrs’ families, and the merit-based leave of Mulla Zaman. Agha Muhammad Yusuf instructed all zonal commanders to forward all such requests to the head office for thorough examination. He emphasized the importance of monitoring all employees, particularly scrutinizing the performance of Mulla Zaman. The Additional IGP issued a directive that any non-compliance or negligence in duties should initially be met with a warning, and if repeated, followed by another warning after fulfilling legal protocols. Persistent non-compliance could lead to severe departmental punishments.
Furthermore, Yusuf stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness within the premises, particularly in barracks and bathrooms, citing the changing weather and the associated risk of disease outbreaks. He noted that maintaining sanitation could help control seasonal diseases.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the necessity of ensuring biometric attendance for all employees to foster accountability. The Additional IGP asked zonal commanders to brief all jawans on these matters and ensure strict adherence to these directives, with departmental action to be taken against those failing to comply with attendance requirements.
