Islamabad: The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Ahmadov, has commenced a two-day official visit to Pakistan, accompanied by a high-level delegation. The visit, extended at the invitation of Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, aims to bolster bilateral cooperation in the legal and judicial sectors between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. The Government of Pakistan has accorded state guest status to the Azerbaijani delegation, a testament to the longstanding ties and mutual trust shared by the two nations.

According to Press Information Department, the Azerbaijani delegation explored key national, historical, and cultural sites in Pakistan, including the Lok Virsa Museum, where they were introduced to Pakistan’s cultural heritage and regional diversity. They also visited the Pakistan Monument, laying a floral wreath to honor the country’s heroes and martyrs. The delegation’s itinerary included a visit to the Supreme Court of Pakistan, where discussions on judicial and legal cooperation unfolded with the Chief Justice of Pakistan, alongside Federal Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar and Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik.

Further engagements included a meeting at the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan with discussions centered on judicial systems and legal reforms. The delegation also observed a session of the National Assembly of Pakistan, receiving a warm welcome from assembly members. Minister Tarar guided the delegation through the National Assembly Museum, detailing Pakistan’s constitutional and democratic history. The visit underscores the enduring friendship between the two countries and is anticipated to strengthen cooperation in legal, judicial, and institutional domains.
