Karachi: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has called on the youth of Pakistan to take an active role in shaping a peaceful and sustainable future. He highlighted the importance of youth involvement in the nation’s development during a recent statement.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq praised the Youth Parliament of Pakistan for its efforts to amplify the voices of young people both nationally and internationally. He acknowledged the leadership of Chairman Abrar ul Haq and President Ubaid ur Rehman Qureshi for organizing a significant engagement alongside the upcoming ECOSOC Youth Forum in 2026.

Sadiq emphasized the importance of the forum, which aims to address critical priorities related to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Discussions are expected to cover topics such as inclusive governance, climate-water-peace nexus approaches, youth and women’s participation in policy processes, community resilience, sustainable water management, and multi-stakeholder partnerships for climate adaptation and peacebuilding.

The Speaker extended his best wishes to the organizers and participants of the forum, expressing confidence that such initiatives would enhance democratic practices and highlight the crucial role of young people in addressing global challenges.
