Authorities’ Failure Exposed as Mysterious Deaths Lead to New Graveyard in Rajouri

Jammu: Badhaal village in Rajouri district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been shaken by the mysterious deaths of 16 individuals within a span of just a few weeks, leaving the community in shock and mourning. The ongoing tragedy has prompted the villagers to establish a new graveyard on private land, highlighting the failure of authorities to address the underlying causes and provide timely assistance.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the victims, all from three different families, include a particularly tragic case where Muhammad Aslam, a head of one family, lost five children, as well as his uncle and aunt who had adopted him. The situation has left the village reeling with grief and uncertainty, further compounded by the community’s already precarious living conditions in the remote hills of Rajouri, which lack basic amenities.

Despite the grave situation, the police are also reportedly subjecting local residents to questioning, perhaps more as a formality to comply with procedural requirements rather than offering significant leads in the case. This has added to the community’s distress, as many feel the process is more about filling quotas than genuinely addressing the tragedy.

For now, the tragic deaths and the newly established graveyard stand as a stark reminder of the devastating toll this mystery has taken on the village and its people.
