Rawalpindi: An Investiture Ceremony was held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, where Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir awarded military honors to officers and soldiers. The recognition was for their exceptional valor in operations and distinguished service to the nation.
The event saw a significant attendance of senior military officials and the families of the honorees, highlighting the importance of the occasion.
In his address, General Munir paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans, emphasizing their lasting impact. “Shuhada and Ghazis are our enduring pride and their honor and reverence are a sacred trust upon every Pakistani,” he stated.
The Army Chief acknowledged the peace and liberty the country enjoys today as a result of the ultimate sacrifices made by these valiant individuals.
General Munir also expressed deep admiration for the resilience of the families of the Shuhada, recognizing their unmatched sacrifices for the homeland.
