Islamabad, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has reiterated the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Syed Asim Munir, while addressing the First National Workshop Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Peshawar, expressed the Army’s dedication to protecting every inch of the motherland. He highlighted that the nation appreciates and recognizes the achievements of its Armed Forces. The Army Chief emphasized the crucial role of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in supporting the Security Forces, contributing to the stability and socioeconomic progress in the province.
General Munir also addressed the challenges posed by illegal foreigners in Pakistan, affecting the country’s security and economy. He informed that the government’s decision to repatriate these individuals aligns with the nation’s interests and is being conducted in a humane and dignified manner.
During his visit, General Munir received a comprehensive briefing on the overall security situation, ongoing counter-terrorism operations, and socio-economic developments in the Newly Merged Districts. He also interacted with officers and soldiers who demonstrated bravery in various counter-terrorism operations. The Army Chief was welcomed by the Commander of the Peshawar Corps upon his arrival.
