Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and various Hurriyat leaders have condemned Yati Narsinghanand, a Hindutva priest, for his derogatory comments against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This condemnation comes from leaders and organizations across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling for strong public dissent and legal action against Narsinghanand.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas called for mass protests in response to the blasphemous statements. “We urge the people of Kashmir and religious scholars to protest vocally after prayers,” Minhas stated in a press release issued in Srinagar. The call for action highlights a broader concern over the pattern of religious hatred being propagated by Hindu extremists in India, particularly under the BJP’s patronage.

Leaders including Agha Syed Hassan Al-Mosvi, Farida Behanji, and others have echoed this sentiment in their statements, demanding the immediate arrest and punishment of Narsinghanand. Advocate Devender Singh specifically called out the insecurity felt by minority communities in India due to such extremist actions. “No minority community in India feels secure under the current conditions,” he emphasized.

In a parallel move, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter announced its complete support for the protest demonstrations planned in IIOJK. Notable leaders from the APHC-AJK, including Ghulam Muhammad Safi and Advocate Parvez Shah, stressed the importance of showing a strong, united front in the face of such blasphemy. They, along with other senior leaders, have called for exemplary punishment for Narsinghanand, underscoring the necessity of a successful protest to uphold the dignity of their faith.
