APHC-AJK Marks 77th Founding Day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Amid Calls for Liberation

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) commemorated the 77th Founding Day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir today, reiterating their commitment to the struggle for the liberation of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and its accession to Pakistan.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK uses this annual celebration to renew vows to free the region from Indian control and integrate the entire territory with Pakistan. During a special meeting in Islamabad, speakers addressed the historical context and ongoing challenges faced by the Kashmiri people under Indian administration.

The speakers, including prominent Kashmiri activists and political figures, lauded the efforts of those who have fought for Kashmiri self-determination over the decades. They expressed deep concern over attempts to change the demographic composition of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir through the issuance of domicile certificates to non-residents and other measures, which they described as violations of international law and United Nations resolutions.

Highlighting the broader implications of the dispute, the speakers linked regional peace to the resolution of the Kashmir issue in line with UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri populace. They paid homage to the martyrs of Jammu and highlighted the sacrifices made by generations of Kashmiris in their quest for freedom.

The meeting concluded with special prayers for the integrity and prosperity of Pakistan and for the swift liberation of the territories currently under Indian administration. Prominent attendees included Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, and Mir Tahir Masood among others, who collectively called for continued solidarity and action towards achieving their goals.
