Karachi, Leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter have expressed their gratitude towards Pakistan’s political and military leadership for their steadfast support to the Kashmir freedom movement. This support has been a significant source of strength for the people of Jammu and Kashmir amid their struggles.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK leaders, including Muhammad Sultan Butt, Javed Ahmed Butt, Zahid Safi, Manzoor Ahmed Shah, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, and Zahid Ashraf, issued statements in Islamabad highlighting the critical role of Pakistan’s support. They emphasized that Pakistan’s unequivocal stance on the Kashmir issue has been a major source of encouragement, especially in the face of military repression and cultural invasion by Hindutva forces in the region.
The leaders specifically praised Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar for his recent visit to Azad Kashmir. During this visit, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the Kashmiri cause and strongly responded to the policies of the Indian government, rejecting the Indian Supreme Court’s verdict regarding Article 370. Kakar’s assurances that Pakistan would continue its political, diplomatic, and moral support were particularly commended by the APHC-AJK leaders.
Additionally, the APHC-AJK leaders expressed their appreciation for Pakistan Army Chief, General Syed Asim Munir. They noted his efforts to raise the Kashmir dispute during his visit to the United States, highlighting the significance of Pakistan’s diplomatic endeavors in bringing international attention to the Kashmir issue and the alleged atrocities committed by India in the region.
The leaders also extended their thanks to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for its stance against the Indian Supreme Court’s verdict and for reaffirming its support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle.
