APHC-AJK Chapter Remembers Zakura-Tengpora Martyrs on Anniversary

Islamabad, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter commemorated the 34th martyrdom anniversary of the Zakura and Tengpora victims, reinforcing the significance of their sacrifices in the ongoing Kashmir dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the homage was paid during a meeting in Islamabad, led by the Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar. The leaders of APHC-AJK emphasized the impact of the martyrs’ sacrifices, which they believe has kept the Kashmir issue alive in global forums. They reiterated the call for India to cease its state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and to resolve the Kashmir conflict by granting the people their right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations resolutions, a move they argue is essential for lasting peace and prosperity in the region.

During the meeting, special prayers were offered for all the martyrs of IIOJK, remembering the day when over 50 individuals were killed and many were wounded by Indian troops during peaceful protests in the Srinagar areas of Zakura and Tengpora in 1990.
